Hi Damon. The probes are a porcelin spark plug style with a stainlee steel 1/4 inch threaded electrode. The porcelin that comes in contact with the water in the column seems to deteriate in only several months. Our boiler chemistry has been perfect according to our chemical rep. It was talked about weather our caustic that is been injected into the steam drum could be dispersed to close to the water column? We are in the process of doing chemistry at the water column and comparing it to our blow down samples. The probes are a Cleaver Brooks Issue, part # 873-96. Thanks for your help, D@ve
