I also have a NIULPE License as well as a NYC & NJ. I no longer work as an operator. I moved up into a different part of the industry so I need different licenses. But I still keep all my stuff renewed. Mainly as a backup in case I ever am out of work and need to go back into a plant. I keep my NIULPE more as a resume endorser. Sometimes you never know who may be interviewing you for a job and having an extra license besides what the jurisdiction requires will sometimes get you that job over others. So its your call but for the small cost of a renewal fee it may be worth holding on to.

: I have an expired NY NIULPE license (as well as NYC and NJ licenses) and was wondering if there exists any logical reason to renew the NIULPE license? I am not trying to offend anyone, but there seems uncertainty pertaining to the usefullness of the NIULPE license (at least here in NY)
: Thanks for your input.
