I run a 500hp Superior Wood Fueled Boiler. Very recently I have had problems with my Feedwater pumps short cycling. (on and off quickly and often). I have checked for steam leaks.(none) The water in the site tube on column seems to fluctuate a lot. (not like boil off just lever rising and lowering...almost a small bounce effect) It makes the pump's mercury switches go off often and even occasionally trips the LWCO alarm and shuts control circuit. Any ideas what could cause this condition? Thanks!!
