I am not sure exactly what you have however here are my thoughts... The reason you are using the continuous blow down on your boiler is to control you boiler water chemistry and you are basically dumping the excess chemical along with any thing that is has helped remove (i.e. small particles of scale and other impurities, Sodium sulphate if you are injecting Sodium Sulfite into your DA). Your boiler has a range of the amount of cycles the chemical should remain in the boiler before they are blown down to the drain (the number of which I am unsure of) Mixing the CBD back into the FW would basically defeat the purpose in my option. It would kind of be like adding another tube to the boiler since you will never get it out of the system. : I am working as a Utilities Process Engineer at Engro Chemical Paksitan Ltd. At our Ammonia Urea Complex we are draining about 80 US GPM ( about 20 % of makeup water ) of boiler blow down after recovering flash steam and make up water heatup. This blow down is still much superior in quality compared with aour demineralizer feed water quality ( TDS: 120 Vs TDS : 300 of make up water ). We plan to mix the blow down with demineralizer feed water and recycle back into system. However I am not sure if this is a good option. I f any body can comment on it.
