: I just have a quick question on testing for sulphite residuals in boiler water. I have two testing procedures and the chemicals to do the test are identical. However one test says to take the Number of drops of Potassium-Iodide-Iodate and multiply it by 2 to acheeve the end point and the other is multiplied by 10. Now I have never seen the X by 2 before until I started my new job. I can't find any reference to it at all. Just wondering if anyone out there can give me a little more information on this. Thanks Craig Butler

What you need to do is find out the name of the manufacturer of the IO/IO and call them to find out the correct multiplier. If Taylor makes it and it is N126, the multiplier should be 10.
