It has not been used as a boiler treatment in over fourty years . It was used to remove sludge in the boiler to the formation of scale. And too a small extend dissolved oxygen . It was a big mess if you a paying a crew 15 dollars a month to clean the excess tannin from the inside of your boiler twice a year its ok . But the film it puts on your tubes sure cuts down on you boiler efficieny. I am sure their is a supplyer for it but i would go with a modern water treatment and leave the tannin in the 40's
