I was informed the other day that the U.S. Navy specifies "Quebracho Tannin" as a water treatment. Apparently the tannin acts as an O2 scavenger and also cleans the scale from boiler tubes and apparently is an excellent long term maintenance chem.
Has anyone heard of using this product before. If so where can you find a supplier of the quebracho tannin and some informational data. Maybe the old US Navy may know something we in the private sector don't. Top secret and all.
