Boiler Ignition Problem

Boiler is a Weil-McLean VHE-4 with White-Rogers
50d47-170 ignition control. Technition came out
and replaced control to no effect. Then replaced
roll out switch and got ignition. Switch failed
again. Found that blower stops before flame is
out causing high heat (roll out) to trip switch.
Thinks pressure switch is slow so is going to
replace and also install a relay to prevent fan
from switching off before flame. Makes sense to me,
but after a full day and $500 have lost confidence
in techs ability to find/solve problem. Can anyone
suggest if the new 'solution' makes sense?

Finally, Boiler is vented up (lined) chimney and
shares flue with natural draft hot water heater. This
was installed by previous home owner. We are now told
that this model boiler can not be vented up chimney
and needs to be vented out a side wall w/ stainless
pipe - estimate $1K plus. Can anyone verify this and
comment on estimated cost. It's ~30ft run of 3" or 4"
pipe to side vent.

Apologize for length, but appreciate comments.
