Iwork in a industry in brasil that have 3 medium pressure boiler (44 kgf/cm2g). Now, we´re facing exactly the problem of excess of hidrazine corrosion in those boilers.

To make the history short, in some way our analytical procedure gone bad and the ppm of hydrazine in boiler water was completely wrong. The real content of hydrazine, that must be between 0,05-0,25 ppm, was hundred times higher. We began to suspect this problem when personel say that they have increased the hydrazine but the analytical result was always low.
The color of the boiler water usually be very clear and because of this problem (i suppose)it became surprinsingly brown. Of course it is a high rate corrosion.

Now we are trying to correct this problem and this is the reason I´m searching for the way high hydrazine promote corrosion in boilers.
