I do not expect the boiler to be going at full burn for the entire 16 hrs. That will simplify my problem if that was the case. What design parameters are there to determine the percentage of full burn the boiler can be expected to be operating at?

: There are a number of parameters that must be clarified in order to answer the question:
: 1. How do the operating hours differ from the 16 hours in the day in question?
: 2. Is the fuel volume flow rate a specification of the burner(s) or (less likely) the maximum expected throught the boiler.
: Because - if the operating hours are 16, at full burn, then the fuel volume rate per hour x 16 is a possible answer. - other parameters alter the result.
