A TOC or (Total Organic Carbon) analyser will pick up organics (Glucose, sucrose etc) The fastest response times are around 3 minutes so a buffer tank will be required. These should be used with conductivity monitors which is industry practice in sugar mill boilers to pick up large sugar contaminations (as although conductivity analysers cant detect pure sugars which are non-conductive, there is nearly always organic salts and inorganic acids attached from the dirt and cane which can be detected.
