In all cases I have encountered with an O2
scavenger and/or mechanical deaeration, the
test on boiler water is for residual scavenger.
The idea being that having residual scavenger
means zero O2. O2 testing is done on the DA tank
itself to determine the efficiency of mechanical
deaeration.
