: Would appreciate any and all input on the effect of
: steam space on steam quality in packaged firetube
: boilers.

: Calculating the level swell in pool boiling, i can see
: that the steam space for a 650 hp firetube boiler is
: only around 50 cu.ft, i.e. a disengagement height of
: maybe 10 inches for the shell diameter and length i have.

: Look forward to hearing from people in this forum
: on their experiences/input on this issue.

: Thanks

How far above the tubes is your water level?
What is the diameter of the boiler shell?
Are you having problems with wet steam?
Is the water level in the water gauge sight glass normal?
