: I have a 200 HP Cleaver Brooks boiler,Natural Gas.
: I need to figure out minimum gas pressure at the burner.
: Currently I have Max 5.2 in.wc and Min. 0.2 in.wc.
: at High and Low fire respectively. And boiler still
: cycling on low fire, when load demand is minimum.
: Is there any way to downsize boiler HP ?

: Thanks BoilingMan.

: I agree with Raymond on decreasing size of the orifices, but you will probably change the high fire steaming capacity. I would contact the burner manufacturer as well. Not having the manual sitting in front of me, I won't advise you to make any specific changes. Furnace explosions are for real and I've seen two. You can always decrease the cycling of the boiler by increasing the span on the pressuretrol.
