Check out the links as well. Personally, I revere Babcock and Wilcox's book STEAM/ Its Generation and Use. I believe the latest edition will set you back about 80 dollars. It touches on just about everything. Your going to be a little limited on what you can get on the net though.How basic you want to go? Go down to the library and read up on James Watt, our industry's founding father. Volumes have been written on each one of your queries. A basic definition I cannot give you basically.
