It is least expensive to repipe the boiler to a boiler subloop on the main with the boiler return and supply 18-inches apart on a main that has the supply and return connected with the air scoop and circulator pumping away from the expansion tank, as shown at www.heatpro.us under Designing an American-style Hot Water Series Circuit in the Stop Banging article in the fourth picture.

Then there will be a constant required flow to take the heat from the one overheating section and stop the popping. The gas can ghem be set to where the engineers designed it. It is a repiping job for some hundreds instead of thousands of dollars.
