Does anyone know if it's difficult to find a plumber to install a gas hot water boiler that is purchased from somewhere else? I found a source for a good price on a Weil McLain Ultra boiler, that is about $1800 less than a non-itemized quote we received for the same boiler with installation labor. Given that all the copper and gas lines are in good shape and ready to go - I can't imagine that the installation alone should be $1800.
