The Nor'easter seems to have brought in rip-offs as well as water.
Our burner motor and furnace chamber got wet when water seeped into the basement. We called the service company and they said that they could not even open the chamber to check it out or try firing up the motor in case it caught fire and the house burned down.
They said that the best option was to replace the entire unit cost approx $2,000.
Is this real or bogus?
