Problem is on a York Shiply 400hp 3 pass fire tube boiler with a Coen duel fuel burner. What happened after intialy firing boiler on #2 oil and warm up period placed the boiler in auto fire. after about 5 min. there was about 10 mini explosions, blew out the seal on back fire door and the room half filled with smoke. I believe that there was incomplete combuston. I have some thoghts on this but I would like some input on this before I share them. Also myself and a Coen field Eng. just tuned this boler not more than 3 weeks ago and all paramiters were exellant. Thanks in advance for your time. Will review responses Tuesday 1/3/06.
