: Has anyone had any dealings with MIURA Boiler? I am looking at the EX series 300 hp steam boiler to replace our older Scotch marine units. This is a relatively new product out there. Not much Info available. My Boiler inspector has never seen one. or heard anything as of yet. Any Info good or bad would be appreciated

While I am on that topic to keep from shocking a Scotch boiler many people turn them down to idle so they will be "Ready" when you need steam. This is like idling at a stop sign burning fuel and doing no work. Miura boilers respond very quickly. A cold boiler can be up to steam in just 2-5 minutes. This quick response also helps maintain a steady header pressure with changing loads.
