Hello Everyone,
Can someone tell me where I could find the code for condensate return piping. I am trying to find the regulaiton regarding steam trap inlet outlet sizing. We have a 3/4 " return line to drain that had a thermodyncamic disc trap on it. The trap failed and now the company wants to replaice with a 1/2" trap with a concentric bushing on the inlet and 1/2" piping on the outlet to drain. My concern is water hammer as by using a concetric bushing or reducing at all will leave condensate in the bottom of the pipe. The steam pipe upstream is 125psi sat steam. Please help out with code so I can get a copy for proof.
