: I have an opurtunity to purchase a 9 hp Fulton boiler skid mounted with feedwater tank, pump all controls , blowdown valv, blowdown tank etc. It would be a great deal but i only want a 15 psi boiler. I am in Massachusetts and any boiler over 15psi needs to be tended besides that i only want low pressure steam for my process. I called Fulton boiler co and they said that the only differences between this boiler and one rated for 15psi was 1.The pressure controls which was not a big deal to change and 2.The safety relief valve (which would also not be a big deal to replace) and 3.The outlet which currently is a 1" pipe connection on a 150 psi boiler but should be 1 1/2" on a 15psi boiler. My question is how complicated would it be to have somebody remove the 1" connection and weld on a 1 1/2" instead.
