I have two questions:
Question #1 :
I have an old SunRay converted coal boiler that was rated by my serviceman at 77% eff. It was suggested that I replace it with either a Weil McLain WGO-3 or a Burnham V-83 boiler, both at 85% rated eff. Any suggestions and any idea of how much oil i could save. Am currently using 800 gallons per season. I live alone and will use this for hot water also, any problems with this or do i need a separate hot water heater?
Question #2:
I turn the thermostat up to 67 after work but turn it back to 62 at night and leave the house cold all day until the next evening. Is this more cost effective than leaving the house a little warmer during the day so that the heater will not have to run so long to heat the house up after work?
Thanks, Debs
