: Can someone please explain to me what boiler plants require licensed operators in NJ?

: We have a building with two Cleaver Brooks Scotch Marine hot water boilers. Each is rated at 4184 mbh. The relief valves are set at 30 psig.

: I was told they never had a licensed operator in the past and I am not quite sure I understand why.

here in canada u do not need a operator if the relief is 30psig u need a inspection if the boiler is over 30psig and that is just testing the safety's and making sure there is no leaks on the fire side. soon they will have inspections on all boilers in commercial no matter what the pressure
