had technician figure it out. we were going into flame failure due to dust caking up around the flame sensor. there was also some leaking bucket traps that we rebuilt so the system is holding psi better and refiring at the right time.

: first of all i know little to nothing about boilers...
: we have a columbia boiler for our brewery. we are having problems keeping a boil going.
: theres a pressuretrol limit switch with the main set at 32psi and a differential of 7psi. the upper limit seems to work as the boiler stops heating at 32. the problem is it never seems to re-fire when the boiler hits 25psi. it drops all the way down to 10 psi before even trying to re-fire. this is ruining our boil after it hits around 17 psil. we have to turn the boiler on and off around 20 psi to keep it where we need it.(can't be good for it)
: any ideas where to start?
