: are soot blowers used to clean fire tube blowers. for a soot boiler to be economically or mechanically efficient must the boiler be a certain psi or hp?

I operate three firetude boilers (65 psi steam) and these boilers have permanent soot blowing elements installed to blow each tube, on a timer, using compressed air, doing different tubes at different times. I burn #6 fuel oil. I've never seen a firetube or a watertube boiler that was designed to burn #6 fuel that did not have soot blowers.
