I recently had anold coal gas converted boiler replaced. It was original to the house(about 1927) It was originally coal fired. In the past there was a little bit of banging when the heat was coming on..over the last 3 years it got really loud. My new gas boiler was just installed and the original radiators were bled and new valves were put on but the banging is still present...Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this...I think I read something about if old original pipes have any sags or low spots the air(steam) hits it when heat is called for ...but how is this fixed if this is the case...the noise is really loud thanks
