I am studying for a 2nd class engineering license from the city of Detroit and I have seen a question that reads: Which drum on a Standard Stirling is called the skinny drum? I don't remember off hand the answers that were listed as choices. I have read everything I have on the boiler and no mention of "skinny drum" or drum sizing is mentioned. It looks to me in the drawings that the front drum is smaller than the rest.
