I need to purchase three boilers in the 200 to 500 HP range firing natural gas and no. 2 oil. I am looking at wetback firetube boilers as well as steam generators such as the ones manufactured by Miura. Miura boilers seem to be less expensive compared to firetubes, but I do not know the pros and cons.
Are Miura boilers easy to maintain? I understand they are very sensitive to water chemistry? What about life? Do they last as long as firetubes?
I would appreciate some comparison and input from all of you Boiler Gurus out there.
Thanks
