I am curious about your idea of catalyzing sulfite with cobalt because the reaction is much more complicated than others may think. Furthermore, whether it will work at all depends on a number of factors that few chemists and suppliers recognize and this has been true since 1947 when Pye published his paper on the first use in the AWWA journal.If you are a chemist and want to have your question answered, in detail, then let me know...JCW
