: I am looking for information on Cogeneration Power Plants. I am wondering if any one out there who works at or is the Cheif of a Cogen plant can tell me what their cost to produce a kw of power is. I am looking for Operation and Maintanence cost only. I have an estimate for my plant at 3.1 cents per Kwhr and I was wondering what others in the industry are paying.

: Thank You

If all you are looking at is operation and maintenance costs, it depends entirely on your labor cost for manning and the type of cogen plant you are evaluating. Reciprocating engine simple cycle cogen plants have higher maintenance costs thatn gas turbine plants and steam turbine plants. Gas turbine combined cycle and steam turbine plants have lower maintenance costs and are themally more efficient.
