We have a 1967 40 MW GE turbogenerator, extraction/backpressure. Ever since a recent overhaul, we have been having trouble with the hydraulic system: the hydraulic pump load creeps up to the point where we have to run with 2 pumps. We have changed out all of the servomotors and this solves the the problem, but after about 24 hours the pump amps started to increase again. Anybody seen this before or have any ideas? We checked the pumps to make sure they are set up properly, the relief valves are set up properly, the filters are clean. Thanks in advance for your comments.
