Sunny,
I have few questions to ask before we can go into advantages of using these products:
1. Are you already using any chemicals like mgo in fuel?
2. what are your emissions level like CO, NOx, CO2, PM, etc?
3. Whats the condition of the furnace and heater tubes when you inspect it in outages?
John.
: We have been proposed by a company to use emulsifying products for our Fuel Oil # 6 treatment for boiler are as under:
: "PENTOMULS-2" and "PENTOMAG-5500 KW"
: They have given following figures for improvement:
: Reduction in unburned min. 80 % typical 90 %
: Reduction in total solid min. 70 % typical 80 %
: Reduction in SO3 emission min. 50 % typical 60 %
: Reduction in NOx min. 30 % typical 40 %
: Reduction in exit gas temperature min. 30 °C at full load
: Better combustion with shorter flame
: Does any one have experience of such product. How can it improve the overall combustion efficiency or boiler efficiency? Are the figures reasonable? Can they be achieved when we already have a very good heat rate?
