Our power station uses a large number of traps of various types and each one is checked twice a day by the operators on their plant inspections to ensure they are operating correctly. If any are found to be defective the maintenance guys are notified straight away and within a couple of days they are rectified. This for the most part removes the traps from the bi-annual survey/shutdown and keeps them in top working order at all times.
