Ouch! An industrial sized coal unit (Hi Amy!) that you can't enter. Something new every day . . .That's why you always have at least one really small guy (or gal) on staff. Anyway, how about something like a wheeled (portable) engine hoist. The arm is just a tube section, so you can weld an extension on to suit your needs. The height can also be adjusted similarly, and the lifting would be with the simple hydraulic jack. Just thinking out loud. By the way, how do you intend to put the new refractory in ???
