Hi all,
I am in the process of installing a blowdown heat exchanger with flash tank. Question: Where is the best place to connect the vent piping to the DA Heater? Currently there are no “extra” penetrations installed on the DA that are not in use. Reluctantly, I am considering having a contractor install a flanged pipe connection on the DA (upper section) to accommodate this vent piping. Or should I tie into the low pressure steam augmenting station or consider putting in a “T” on the relief valve or vacuum breaker connections and tying in there? Cochrane has been of little help. So, any information or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
DA is a DS-96
400,000 #/HR
Manufactured by Chicago Heater Company
Thank you.
