: looks to me like a steam gage from an old steamer, ive seen a few like that on some great lakes freighters up here, it could be from an old powerhouse as well, but looks more like its from a ship, hope this helps Rob

I did not get the story from him of where it had come from before he passed away. He served in the navy on several capital ships from WW2 thru 1960 but worked on boilers in private industry after that.
