As long as your D/A tank is pressurized, dearation will be uneffected by more pressure so no need to maintain more than 5 psi or whatever the manufacturer recommends. (To understand this, an understanding of Henry's Law is key--otherwise the whole issue of solubility of air in water is confused and ambiguous). The reason you want to lower the pressure, I presume, is to get more efficiency out of the turbine--its "water rate" is highly dependent on the backpressure. I think your onto a good idea by lowering the D/A pressure to increase turbine efficiency, if that's the thinking, although I think Bob D. and Rick's comments have merit too, especially if the high pressure condensate return is already sufficient to warm D/A temp to > 220.
