: : We recently put an 80,000 lb. per hr. Nebraska Water Tube on line, it has FGR on Natural Gas with a 200hp F.D. variable frequency fan & am wondering what experiences people have when operating. It works excellent but at higher loads around 50% or better the inlet air duct & breeching start to rumble. I am assuming that this is normal being we are recirculating air that could have unburned fuels causing small secondary explosions. There are a few operator worries about the new noises & any comments would be great, thanks.

The rumbling is caused by vibration of the ducting due to the increased pressure and flow of the flue gas and air. Hopefully you're not getting explosions here.
