I run the boilers and kilns at our facility and the wood waste is clean, no garbage, chemicals or oils.
We manufacture baseboard and casing moulding so we dry the wood down to 7%.
Stack temp runs between 300F and 400F.
The firebox consists of stationary grates with overfire and underfire fans. There is an ID fan in the stack. The fans are all controlled by a computer, we just do not have good air/fuel curves.
We have done an ash fusion test and found the softening temp. to be 2150F in a Reducing atmosphere and 2240F in a Oxidizing atmosphere (not sure the differance)
Thanks for your help.
Chris
