Interesting, I have the same problem with a new boiler start-up. The MM-150S controls pumps and feedwater valve on low pressure (oper. at 8 psig) boiler. The Aux. Low water cut off - with manual reset - trips about every eight hours. Not much load on boiler yet, so we are not sucking dry.
The Cleaver Brooks guy says I have some oil that may be causing the problem, but no foaming noticed. I think that the MM-150S pump-on setting is just too close to the aux. LWCO, and if we raise the level in the boiler by just 1" we would be OK. When you say TWEAKING the MM, what does this mean. Right now our normal water level is exactly on the line that indicates the minimum acceptable.
