: At our plant in N.J. we have a manager ala (suit and tie) with a hi psi black/blue chiller lic. He frequently sneaks up behind the operators after their rounds and shuts down equipment. The boiler room not having a computer, the operator has no idea that the chiller is off till the next round. The chiller is far from the main boiler room. Is there some kind of legal footing /w/ the boiler dept division at the state, that the operators have? They are worried that if this mngr screws up something, they could lose their lic. This manager also closes the supply and return to the cooling tower every time the chiller goes off. Leaving the water laying there. Is this safe,i didn't think so . It is a subject of much debate at work.

If I were you guy's I would report this to some city or state official, that kind of crap doesn't cut it when you are operating equipment, sounds like that suit & tie guy needs to be messed with a little bit!!
