In general distillation is a means of purifying water and removing minerals. Wouldn't think the zinc would evaporate with the water into the steam flow. If it did, the small quantity might actually be healthy as zinc is a requirement for the human body. Not to worry as most hot water heaters have some form of similiar protection.
