There are a very few retrofit burners for CB's. I work on all brands and have to admit CB got it right the first time. Any retro would be hard pressed to beat your existing efficiency. I know you don't like the tweaks that are offered but some should be looked at. Are the linkages tight? Is the burner in tune? One of the best efficiency upgrades was an intake air riser. Air temp at the CB intake was 85deg F. We fabricated a rather nice (and supported) spiral intake pipe 20ft up where the intake temp was 130deg F. That boosted our efficiency 2 points. We set combustion every 90 days. We thought about a trim system but on a 200 hp we wanted to keep it simple. Also don't forget the air is heated additionally as it passes past the front inner door. Any aftermarket burner does not utilize this feature. Much noisier also. Hope this helps. Feel free to E-mail direct.
