: What is the proper method to manualy purge low pressure boilers

You will need to exchange the the volume of air in the furnace 5 times, calcualte based on furnace volume and combustion air fan output in scfms. I assume you have a small boiler WT or FT
1000 HP and less. Next wire a toggle switch between terminals "common" and "high or purge" located on the sub-base of the FSG control. Honeywell and Fireye are labled different. Next install and wire a manual switch to start the combustion air fan motor starter. You may want to use a few relays and interlock this circuit so that it cannot be used when the main "on/off" switch is on. After the work is done to purge the furnace manually start the combsution air fan with the switch you installed, and flip the toggle switch to complete the "purge to high" circuit. The fan will run with damper wide open for maximum air flow, purge the required time for 5 air exchanges and you are done. The purging should be left up the the burner management system, but if you need to manually purge for some reason this will work.
