Rob:
I'd like to learn more about Gabriel Boiler, too. I am involved with the zoo railway in Portland and our only steam locomotive has a firetube boiler apparently built by Gabriel in 1959. From what I've been able to find out so far, Gabriel was indeed apparently located here in Portland as Rob mentioned in his reply. They are evidently out of business, though I don't know how long they've been gone.
We need specs on our boiler that we've never had. In these days of higher loss awareness by insurance companies and state inspectors, concerns have been raised about our boiler (mainly due to erroneous paperwork) but we don't have the neccessary proof that our boiler is approved for use in the manner for which it was built and used. I've been refered to the National Board which I am pursuing but if you hear anything about Gabriel and if any records exist, I'd be very interested. Thanks.

: Hi,
: I'm trying to find history on a boiler manufacturer. The company is "Gabriel" possibly in Washington State. A friend recently purchased an old mushroom factory with one of these things in it. We'd like to find out some info. before we try to get her up and running.
: Thanks,
