I worked for a utility that also worked 8 hour shifts but we worked 12 on weekends so we could get two weekends of a month.
Day shift started of Wed. morning which was an overtime day and worked until the following Tuesday and return to Midnights on Fri at midnight.
Evening shift was Mon-Fri and return to days on Wed.
Midnights were Fri. at midnight thru the following Fri morning at 8:00 am and return to evenings on Mon at 4:00 pm
This shift worked out well and the company only had to pay one overtime shift a week (day on Wed.)
Day shift worked 8 am to 8pm and midnight shift worked 8 pm to 8 am on weekends

: Hey All,
: Please send me your watch schedules. Both rotating or non-rotating. Our managaement is changing us over from 12 hrs to 8 hrs shifts and the proposed schedule is awful. Any help would be appreciated.
: Thanks, Michael
