Does anyone can help me to find minimum steam quality standards at the inlet of a desuperheater. The operating conditions of the firetube boiler concerned are :
operating pressure 11.5 barg
superheater uotlet temperature 250 °C
The superheater is placed at the outlet of the radiant section.
Several tubefailure uccured in one of the two superheaterbanks due to water caryover and preferential flow, resulting in scaling and overheating of the tubewalls.
