At our plant operations work four operators. First shift works Wed-Sun with Mon and Tues off. Second shift works Thurs-Mon with Tues and Wed and off. Third shift works Sat-Wed with Thurs and Fri off. Relief works Mon day shift, Tues and Wed second, Thurs and Fri third. Tues is filled by a maintenance/relief engineer. Maintenance has two positions with 4 ten hour days, one Monday off, one Friday off. Other positions are standard five 8s. Weird setup maybe but has worked well for many, many years.
