Extending existing steam heating system

I have an existing steam system for original part of my home and a hot water system for an addition. There is piping to an unheated porch that used to have a radiator.

I am building a two story additon (160 sf per floor) away from hotwater system but close to steam piping by porch. I believe the steam boiler is significantly oversized and wonder if anyone extends steam systems.

I have been informed the heat may be uneven. I know this can be true because I have lived with steam heat for 40 years and if doors are closed, this uneveness becomes obvious. However, we normaly have room doors open and experience more heating disparity due to not cleaning valves.
